  • Homero Aridjis nació en Contepec, Michoacán, México. Su vasta obra de poesía, narrativa, ensayo, dramaturgia y literatura infantil ha sido traducida a quince idiomas y ha sido reconocida con importantes premios literarios en México, Italia, Francia, Serbia y Estados Unidos, como el Xavier Villaurrutia, el Diana-Novedades, el Grinzane Cavour, el Roger Caillois, la Llave de Oro de Smederevo y el Eréndira. Ex embajador de México en los Países Bajos, Suiza y la UNESCO, durante seis años fue presidente internacional del PEN Internacional, del cual es presidente emérito. Fundador del Grupo de los Cien, por su labor como ambientalista recibió el Premio Global 500 del Programa de las Naciones Unidas para el Medio Ambiente, el John Hay Award de la Orion Society, la Fuerza de la Naturaleza del Natural Resources Defense Council y el Premio del Milenio para Liderazgo Internacional en el Medio Ambiente de Mikhail Gorbachev y Global Green. Ganador de la beca Guggenheim en dos ocasiones, ha sido profesor en las universidades de Indiana, New York, Columbia y California (Irvin). Su última novela es Los perros del fin del mundo, y su más reciente libro de poesía es Diario de sueños.
